Welcome to another school year. It is a joy for me to welcome your son/daughter to his/her math class. My name is Sr. Eileen Marie and I will be the teacher this year.
Please check the calendar for dates of tests that will be posted. Beginning Monday, October 1, all homework for the day will also be posted by 3 pm.
Here are some of the basic classroom rules that will be expected of your son/daughter this year:
Class Rules
Be respectful of one another’s opinions.
Come to class prepared with books, notebooks, pens and pencils.
Raise hand when wanting to speak. One person is to speak at a time.
Keep desk and work area neat and clean.
MATH
All math supplies are to be brought to class every day.
The date and page numbers are to written in notebooks.
All math work is to be done in pencil.
All computation is to be done. No answers are acceptable without the work being shown-.
No pages are to be skipped in notebooks.
The class will be held at the following times:
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 12:00 to 12:55
Wednesday 1:15 to 2:30
Thursday 12:00 to 12:40
Math tutoring will be held on Thursday after school until 4:00
Every Friday there will be a Quiz on the material covered that week, and a Chapter Test will be given on a Friday after the Chapter is completed.
The subject grades will be weighed in the following manner:
Tests and Projects 50%
Quizzes 30%
Homework/Classwork 20% (One grade will be given per week. If all the work is done a grade of 100 will be given, etc.)
