Curriculum


The curriculum at Saint Anthony Catholic School is an integration of Catholic/Christian values and academic excellence.  We offer a very challenging core curriculum which adheres to the standards and benchmarks based on the Florida State Standards and set forth by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and the Florida Catholic Conference.

One to one technology is being implemented in the Middle School for our 2018 -2019 school year.

Kindergarten:

  • Religion

  • Music
  • Technology – Each class meets once a week in the computer lab for instruction on computer skills.  Technology is used in the classroom as a support for classroom instruction.
  • Art – Each class meets once every other week.  Class begins with brief Art History/Appreciation followed by studio experience.

First Grade – Eighth Grade

  • Technology – Class meets once a week in the computer lab for instruction on computer skills.  Technology is used in the classroom as a support for classroom instruction.
  • Music – Class has music every week to learn fundamentals of music, performance skills, music theory from concepts to compositions, and rhythmic patterns.
  • Art – Class meets once every other week.  Class begins with brief Art History/Appreciation followed by studio experience.
  • Spanish – taught in the classroom as an integration into the day

Middle School Students

  • have the opportunity to participate in Florida Virtual Classes if requested by parents and approved by the principal.

The school offers the facilities of a:

  • central library,
  • a computer lab,
  • and a science lab.

Each classroom has:

  • one or more computers to support classroom instruction
  • access to 1 of 2 carts of 30 iPads to use as needed in the classroom to support instruction.

Internet is accessible throughout the school either through wireless connection or hard wired.  The Media Center is used for additional access for special projects and research as well as.  Strict supervision is required at all times.

Florida Virtual School is available for eligible Middle School students.
